Bird Watching

We have been using AmblesideOnline this year, and I think the favourite part of the whole year has been studying birds.

I have tried to find interesting ways to document what we see and learn. So far the girls just like to look the birds up, but not write it down.   So we are going to start documenting them here.

Our first bird for this blog – White-Breasted Nuthatch.

We have lived here for 9 years (niagara region in Ontario) and we are noticing birds we have never ‘seen’ before.

It has become a morning ritual now that we go into dd10’s room, open the blind, and just watch the backyard.  Whether it is bird’s or squirrels, we watch.  Occasionally we will see a wild rabbit.
